Location Data: We collect your precise location (GPS) while you use the app. This includes foreground location and, when you are actively participating in a treasure hunt, background location may also be accessed so the app can continue updating distance and navigation information even if the app is temporarily minimized. Location data is used solely to enable the AR treasure hunt experience.

Usage Data: such as app interactions, features accessed, and error logs.

Device Information: including device type, operating system, and unique device identifiers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data to:

• Provide and improve our services.

• Authenticate users and personalize their experience.

• Send important updates and service-related communications.

• Monitor and analyze usage for product improvement.

• Identify nearby treasure hunt spots and calculate real-time distance between your location and prize locations.

• Provide in-app navigation guidance via Google Maps to help you reach treasure hunt destinations.

3. Location Services & AR Features

Our app uses your device's location to power its core Augmented Reality (AR) treasure hunt experience:

• Nearby Treasure Discovery: Your location is used to identify treasure hunt spots near you.

• Distance Calculation: Real-time distance between you and prize locations is calculated using your GPS coordinates.

• Navigation: An in-app Google Maps view uses your location to provide turn-by-turn navigation to treasure destinations.

• Background Location: While you are actively participating in a treasure hunt, the app may access your location in the background (when the app is minimized) to keep distance and navigation information up to date. You will be prompted to grant background location permission before this occurs. You can withdraw this permission at any time via your device settings.

We do not use your location data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond the in-app AR treasure hunt features described above. Location data is not sold or shared with third parties except as necessary to operate the service (e.g., Google Maps SDK).

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it only with:

Service Providers: who assist us in operating and improving the app (e.g., Firebase, Google Maps).

Legal Requirements: if required to comply with the law, or protect rights and safety.

5. Facebook Authentication

If you choose to log in using Facebook, we may access limited personal data such as your name, email, and profile photo. This information is used solely to create and manage your account.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to access, modify, or delete your personal information at any time. You may also revoke access via your Facebook settings. To withdraw location permissions, go to your device Settings > Apps > LUQTA > Permissions.
